I wanted to draw a fan art for a favorite character I've been following for a good while now.

Simone (the one holding the cat) has always been an interesting character in :iconmistytang:'s The White Tower. She is reserved, but strong and not afraid to unleash her power. She's quiet, but can cause a ruckus in an instant. I don't think is a Gemini (like :iconmistytang: and myself), but I would not be surprised if she is one. :)

I really had fun drawing her, as well as working with a color scheme. I was going to leave it black and white, but it felt bare, and not as strong for this composition. I love black and white as the next fellow, but sometimes it's ok to let go of your love to learn of something new. I hope I have done the character, and her artist, justice. Enjoy!

I don't know what the Simone look is...but it is awesome. I love how you have captured the hair almost tumbling down her shoulder. You are too talented and you know it! <3

Thanks! :) I think the hair part was my favorite. :) Besides drawing the kitten. As for me being talented...nah, I just try to draw you know. I need to get back to just drawing a lot to where all I do is nothing but drawing. :)

I love the expression on her face, "I haven't sleeped in days." The strands of hair sticking out and the darkness around the eyes really bring out that effect. I'm not sure if making the hair more messy will make more of an improvement, but I kinda of want to see it. Also, the cat adds a nice contrast. I like it.

Thank you! :) Her character design was structured very well that shows her present situation. Maybe not more messy, but something more loose, I could've gone for with the hair. She does get into some action poses, fighting off guards or those that wish to do harm to her. So there is a lot of play there for sure. :) And the cat had to be done. lol Had to be done. :)

That was what I was thinking when I said that if the hair was messy would be more of an improvement or not.
